Welcome to Shotts History Group Web site

We have just launched our First media files so click
here to hear some excerpts from our first audio
CD

Shotts History Group was formed in September 1993 as a non profit making organisation and met at that time in Calderhead Community Education Centre. Our intention was to liaise with the  Shotts Heritage Centre (situated in the local library) to provide assistance. We also anticipated writing our first book relating to the history of Shotts.

You are welcome come and visit us at one of our meetings,
perhaps even join our small group of enthusiasts.

We meet Monday evening at 7 p.m. in the sheltered housing complex, Mornay Way,
just off Nithsdale Street and everyone is welcome.

Our site now includes a newsgroup mailing list hosted by Rootsweb,
where you can participate in discussion or assist people with their own research.
